A Dream Years in the Making
Most girls dream of their big wedding. I dreamed of the day I could share my stories with the world.
So, when my second book, Asher’s Christmas Wish, was set to release on September 1, 2025, I knew I wanted a celebration that truly reflected who I am as both a person and an author. It had to be special. It had to feel like me.
Finding the Perfect Venue for Asher's Christmas
Wish book
It had to be in my hometown of Denton, Texas — the place where I grew up. I wanted a setting with a soul. A building with a story.
That’s how I found myself on the Denton Square, wandering past the old brick storefronts until I stepped inside the most delightful spot — Three Roses Tea Room, nestled inside one of the original buildings on the square. You could touch the walls and feel the history whispering back. Overhead, the ceiling held those big, old tiles, you know the kind you just know have lived through decades of laughter, conversations, and quiet afternoons.
The Warmth of Three Roses Tea Room
The tearoom itself was decorated with a quiet beauty that felt like something out of Bridgerton. Soft colors. Tables set with such care. And behind it all, the hardest-working, kindest team of people who made the entire day so memorable for me.
Three Roses Tea Room is a family-owned, woman-run boutique tearoom known for their delicious afternoon teas, but on this day, they transformed their space into the perfect venue for a book release party.
Every table was set with real China, the kind that makes you slow down and notice the details. From the food to the setup, every element carried their signature elegance and warmth. Their hospitality wrapped around the entire event, and I will always be grateful to them for making this day so special.
An Intimate Book Release Party for Asher’s Christmas Wish
This release party was an intimate affair, just the way I had hoped it would be. I wanted to keep it close to home, surrounded by family, dear friends from Denton, and a few special guests who had played important roles in bringing this book to life. The tearoom could hold 55 guests, and 53 showed up that day. I was so touched by the support.
A Special Thank You to My Illustrator
Having my illustrator, William "Bubba" Flint, and his wife there made this event even more meaningful. After sharing a bit about my author journey, I talked about how Bubba and I first met, and how his illustrations captured Asher’s story with such heart and warmth that I knew he was the perfect artist to bring this book to life.

Highlights of the Day
The day felt like a celebration in every way. We laughed. We shared stories. We enjoyed the food and the company. And as it went on, I watched friends, family, and even new readers carry signed copies of Asher’s Christmas Wish home with them. By the end of the afternoon, only a few books were left from the stack I had brought. Seeing so many people excited to take Asher’s story into their homes was one of the most humbling and joyful parts of the day for me.
One little girl even told her grandmother on the way home, “I didn’t know you knew famous people!” That made me laugh — but it also made me pause for a moment. Maybe not famous, but this was the kind of day I had always dreamed about: my stories in the hands of readers, surrounded by the people who mean the most to me, in a place with its own story to tell.
Looking Back
I can’t wait to share the professional photos soon so you can see the beautiful tearoom, the community that came to support me, and the magic of the afternoon. It was a day I will never forget — the perfect beginning for Asher’s Christmas Wish.
