From Bravery to Belief: A New Chapter for Asher

Honoring the Quiet Strength That Leads to Hope

In my last post, I wrote about bravery—specifically, the kind that lives quietly inside every child. It's not the loud, spotlight kind of courage. It's the quiet persistence that says, "I’ll try again tomorrow." It’s the resilience behind a shaky voice speaking up for the first time. It’s the small but mighty act of holding on—especially when something feels hard or unfamiliar.

That quiet strength shows up in every story I write. But as autumn approaches and I prepare to release Asher’s Christmas Wish, my heart has been pulled in a new direction—toward belief.

And I’ve come to realize belief and bravery are two sides of the same beautiful coin.

What This New Story Is Really About

Asher’s Christmas Wish is more than a holiday tale—it’s the beginning of Asher’s story. Before he was the beloved pup we met in Asher’s Christmas Adventure, he was just a lonely little dog with no home, and one very big wish.

This book takes us back to the moment that wish was made. Back to the aching hope of wanting a family, even without knowing what that truly means. Back to a puppy who, despite all odds, still believed someone was out there for him.

I wrote this story to explore what it means to long for something more—and to believe, even quietly, that it might be possible.

The Kind of Belief That Matters Most

When we think of belief during the holidays, we often picture twinkling lights, reindeer hooves, or letters addressed to the North Pole. That kind of magic will always have a special place in my heart.

But the belief I’m talking about here runs even deeper.

It’s the belief that you matter, even if you don’t quite fit in. It’s the belief that you are lovable, even if no one has said it yet. It’s the belief that your wish is worthy, even if the world hasn’t granted it.

This story is about that kind of belief—the brave, hopeful kind that lives in children and animals and anyone who’s ever felt a little lost.

A Peek Behind the Pages

When I started writing Asher’s Christmas Wish, I didn’t expect it to become such an emotional journey. But there’s something about a dog with a hopeful heart that brings out the tenderness in all of us.

Asher isn’t just a puppy in this story—he’s every child (and every grown-up) who’s ever wondered if they belong somewhere.

Santa plays a special role in this tale, as does the magical North Pole, but the real heart of the story is Asher’s longing—and the way that longing is finally answered. Not perfectly. Not instantly. But lovingly.

This is a book about what happens when someone sees you. Truly sees you. And decides you are enough, just as you are.

Coming Soon: A Holiday Story with Heart

Asher’s Christmas Wish will be available on October 1st, just in time to welcome in the wonderful spirit of the season. Whether you’ve followed Asher’s journey from the very beginning or are just meeting him now, I wrote this story for you—for anyone who believes that kindness matters, and that every heart deserves a place to belong.

This book is especially close to my heart—not just because of the story, but because of the team behind it. Asher’s Christmas Wish is beautifully illustrated by Bubba Flint, a talented Texas artist whose warm, vintage style brings Asher’s world to life in the most magical way.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, encouragement, and belief in these stories mean more to me than I can ever truly say. I can’t wait to share Asher’s new adventure with you.

With love,

Cindy
